Alabama dismantled Notre Dame on Monday night and captured its third BCS Championship in four years. Head coach Nick Saban has officially built a college football dynasty, and not a single other team could have prevented it on the game's greatest stage.

For the second year in a row, LSU's season ended in a disappointing bowl game loss. Last year's BCS National Title Game embarrassment seemed like it had established itself as the program's ultimate big-time postseason loss, but Monday night's Chick-fil-A Bowl challenged to be just as bad. Was LSU's fourth-quarter play calling to blame?
The Boston Celtics went into Brooklyn and defeated the Nets on Christmas morning, 93-76. Boston's 34 second-quarter points, highlighted by a 17-2 run, gave them a lead they would never surrender. More impressive, however, was the excellent play of reserve forward Jared Sullinger.
This morning on ESPN First Take, panelist Rob Parker questioned Washington Redskins QB Robert Griffin III's blackness, posing the question if he is really "a brother or a cornball brother."
Playing at home in a battle for New York on national television, the Brooklyn Nets took a 79-75 lead at home into the fourth quarter. How they got there, including how the Nets blew a 17-point first-quarter lead, doesn't matter. How the Knicks came back and won does.
This is how the game was won.
Football fans rejoice! The AJB Podcast is here with a brief look at tonight's Monday Night Football contest between the 9-3 New England Patriots and the 11-1 Houston Texans.
Pats fans take note! Texans fans, fear not! Clueless casual observers, listen up! IT'S GAME NIGHT IN FOXBOROUGH! On the heels of a 120-107 opening night defeat at the hands of the rival Miami Heat, the Boston Celtics should remain highly optimistic about their season outlook. An NBA Championship is clearly the goal in the Bean, and there is little to suggest that they won't be in position to make a serious run at one come April.
The NHL has once again come to a work stoppage, this time because the owners want to slice up the revenue pie so that it's more favorable to their wallets. After owners agreed mid-September to a lockout, the 2012-13 NHL season has become jeopardized and fans are generally displeased. Players and owners are so far apart in negotiations that, in my estimation, it's doubtful there will be any games played before January 2013.
Stanford football (1-0) enters tonight's contest against Duke (1-0) with a lot to prove to voters and fans alike following an uninspiring win over upset-minded San Jose State in Week 1.
