Twitter is a goldmine when it comes to sports opinions. You can find almost any opinion in text, right there for your eyes to bestow. Even the idea of a Rangers reverse-sweep of the Kings in the Stanley Cup Final.
Just as a reminder, the Kings were >>>>>this<<<<< close to sending game four into overtime, where you know the more experienced LA squad probably would have finished the deed:
The Rangers held on to win, and I asked Kings supporter/smack-talker/FOX Sports Radio national anchor David Gascon how long it would take before the old "reverse sweep" chatter would surface on Twitter, which is something of interest because his Kings pulled off the feat against my Sharks in the first round:
Well, it turns out I wasn't even the first person to say it. I was the THIRTIETH since the game ended just three minutes prior. All told, following the game there were approximately 90 original tweets involving reverse sweep forecasts, with over 90% of them coming within two hours after the final horn. I've highlighted the best...and worst.
Number One: It starts. Thanks Mr. Popo.
Number 23: The hyperventilator
Number 30: My tweet to David (see above)
Number 31: Seconds later
Number 42: The gambler
That one actually makes me want to see it happen.
Number 53: The Sour Blues fan
Number 57: The David Tyree
Number 58: The stress-shopping sour Sharks fan
Number 60: The truth
Number 61: The Leafs fan who loves the East/maybe just dislikes the West/I don't know
Number 65 + 1: The party NY guy and the sad LA guy
Number 69: #Pause

EW HAWLAN GEH OW!
I'm cool with the Kings finishing it in five now. It's not like a reverse sweep is out of the question, but based on LA's experience - the separating factor I pointed to before the series began - I doubt it'll happen.
Number 90: The joke
I've yet to see a big-time outlet put out an article, but I'm sure a real "one game at a time" piece will come in the hours leading up to Friday's match in LA. But if the Rangers extend it to six...prepare for attack of the buzzword.
